Vegan Pulled Pork | Quick Easy Healthy | THE HAPPY PEAR

Pulled pork is a hot dish right now and vegans should not be excluded from the trend. We know we're trendy enough as it is, handsome and charismatic too but non the less we're going to show you how to make this delicious dish that only takes five minutes and will fool even the biggest meat lover in your life.

1 can Jackfruit
BBQ sauce
2 tsp smoked paprika
4 tbsp tamari soy sauce
2 tbsp tomato puree
3 cloves garlic
2 tbsp apple
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp oil
4 tbsp water


other toppings
vegan coleslaw
avocado
rocket leaves?

We make this faux pulled pork all the time and it's fabulous! One thing we do that's different is that we spread it out on a baking pan (at the point where you loaded it onto the buns) and bake it to get it a bit crispier.

Jackfruit in brine can be found in any asian food store. Not hard at all to find. Pretty clever to take young jack fruit for pulled pork. I grew up eating the organic fresh version right from the trees in Sri Lanka. Now it has become pulled pork! What a great world!!
