I've been so looking forward to this video when I saw you on Costa. I spent a few weeks on here last year, and I couldn't believe what they're offering for the price point. What I'd say is that it was generally VERY busy, but that's excusable when you're paying what you are!

Also, I totally echo your views on the pasta - it's probably the cheapest thing an Italian line could be filling you up with, but I'm not complaining as it was SO tasty, ha!

Great Vlog!! We are pescatarian and I also have a food allergy so I really welcome fellow cruise bloggers talking about food options as it is really important to us. There should definitely be more vegan options on cruise ships. We were recently on Marella Discovery 2 and in the buffet that put meat in all 3 of the salads one lunch time 😵‍💫

We went on the Smeralda last year. Your review was absolutely spot-on. Again, agree with the price point and you get what you pay for. Food OK in the evenings in the MDR. Ranked from very bad to very good but the buffet quality was dreadful. Carb overload!

Had a solo cruise on "A" Cruise line and negative drinks package it worked out at £25 per night FULL BOARD, CABIN SERVICE, BED MADE, HOT WATER SHOWERS, FULL ENTERTAINMENT, GOOD COMPANY, WARMTH AND LIGHT, In a basicHotel it would cost eitht times that. (Fly in the ointment is getting to the ship)

I was on this cruise as a solo, but I paid £477. Which is still good for a solo price with balcony but....

I found this video brilliant and very helpful. I want to book a cruise for my 60th next year but all the prices for a solo traveler is so expensive
I’m going to check this company out. Also, did you have to buy your own air fare and meet at the port or was it a fly/cruise where it’s all included?

Wish I knew how you get a single person cruise, My wife and I had cruised with Costa every year since 2000, Now I am on my own and a Costa Cruise member I am offered nothing other than a 20% discount on double occupation :-(
