The N64 games on the N64 app on the Nintendo Switch suck because they don't save your progress and you can't continue where you left off.

What happens if you use the N64 Controller in the NES, SNES, or Mega Drive apps? I know that the NES and SNES apps recognized each other's controller, bit the SNES and NES controllers didn't seem to be recognized in either of the 2 new apps.

Does this work at all on Wii U for N64 virtual console games? Couldn't care less about Switch Online emulation.

I'm just thinking how the NES and SNES Classic Mini controllers worked with their respective virtual console titles.
