This is the first song i heard from APP in 1981 on the radio that prompted me to find out more. I had heard 'The Gold Bug' and 'Games People Play' before this but it didn't spur me as much. Imagine my surprise when i found out later that they were all in the same album! The shopkeeper was kind enough to let me preview all the songs; that's how i found out about the other 2 songs. The Gold Bug especially, didn't know the title until i heard it in the shop. Needless to say, i immediately bought the cassette. The Turn Of The Friendly Card made me a fan of APP; made me even search for his earlier albums! I've heard orchestral music before BUT this is the song that made me really interested in symphonic genre.

No se traduce "el turno de una carta amistosa", cosa que por otro lado no tiene sentido ni significado, sino "el giro de una carta favorable", y hace referencia a cuando descubres la carta buena. "El juego nunca termina cuando el mundo entero depende de girar una carta favorable"
