Honestly, this is one of those cases where the Jets should’ve let him sit down for a few years behind a veteran and to me I think Salah deserves more criticism because he always blamed Zach even though his coaching was always questionable. He has potential he outplayed Mahomes and Josh Allen and beat Jalen hurts.

The Jets had No OL, no running game, practice squad OL, penalties, no Qb coach, Saleh was a defensive coach had no idea how to run an offense. Zach was Saleh's punching bag!

The only thing that you didn't mention is that a guy named Rex Hogan was the scout that convinced Joe Douglas that Zac Wilson was a NFL QB 😂 ! They both got their walking papers after last season 💣🔥😉 !

If I'm the Dolphins I'd send the Broncos a 5th for Zac and give him a chance to have a run first offense where he can make a couple big plays a game and simple on time throws

Playing for the Same Old Jets has been the killer of a lot of careers. Wrong place, wrong time, wrong coaches for Zach.

Zach Wilson is the only raw QB draft pick that is blamed 100% for failing his own development.
From sports talking heads, the media and fans, he’s the most exclusively unfairly abused young draft pick I’ve ever observed.
The Jets did absolutely everything wrong in how they brought him along. He wasn’t ready to start. And they threw him to the wolves with a bad rookie defensive head coach and a rookie OC with zero QB development acumen.
Then the team decided that they want to compete despite the fact that ZW wasn’t ready. He had zero margin for error. So they mentally broke him. Then the fans hate him. The press ridiculed him. Even after he left NY, everyone’s using him as a meme of failure.
The kid needed to go to a competent team; and sit like Jordan Love for 3 seasons. The worst thing that could have happened to him, was getting drafted as the #2 pick by the NY Jets.
Who drafts a player is more often than not, the predictor of his fate.

Bro, who vets your stuff? Like five minutes and you have three comments completely wrong.
There was no Zach Wilson Senior year
They didn’t lose to South carolina especially considering it was during Covid. There was no out of conference play. They lost to coastal Carolina.
The Trebisky comps make no sense because Zach only had one great year Mitch Trubisky only played one year as a starter

As a Jets fan, I can say the Jets did not expect Wilson to come in and win right away. Everyone knew the Jets were in a re-build mode.

Yeah I think it's a bit premature to write him off. He's 25 and has an absolute cannon and has had some really impressive games. The jets style of play was questionable. Instead of maximizing players strengths they tried to jam a rectangle into a star shaped opening. I think he can be a starter in time somewhere but he had nothing but disfunction

The Jets are just a bad organization. Not where you want to be as a young QB. A rookie QB coming into the league needs patience and investment from teammates and coaches alike. He doesn't need to be looked to as the one to save their jobs right out of the gate. Same thing happened with Manziel

Words matter. He destroyed his career in one 5 minute press conference.

I still stand by the fact if Zach Wilson had waited one more year to get a normal season at BYU after the Covid season and declared for 2022, he'd be better off...but then again he didn't enter a QB friendly situation and a dumpster fire of an organization that blamed him for everything so maybe sitting in Denver with Sean Payton might help fix him. Look at Geno Smith, everyone thought he was cooked after the Jets

Zack wilson was never going to be the guy the most elite qbs show their skills and grit on the field there was games where he didnt even have 60 yards by halftime

Zack was terrible. I nearly broke my television when they drafted him. I knew he would suck. In his defense, the jets offensive line was terrible but he couldn't do simple things consistently. His accuracy was terrible and decision making was bad as well. Also I don't think he isn't a leader of men they didn't take him seriously. Thank God he is gone!

Wilson had no business going that high in the draft...the Jet GM made a big mistake. Wilson did not go up agains the top College teams and talent in College . and it showed when he played in NFL games. Granted he had no O line and it was a tough situation for him ..but the kid just did not have it. He could not play when the lights came on when he played for NY he hd no on field awareness and a low football IQ under pressure. in my opinion He was not ready to be in the NFL...i hope he makes it in Denver.
