I think one of those most memorable moments of the 2016 election was when an ancient and very cute Bob Dole, surrounded by reporters' microphones, leaned towards someone, maybe a female aide or reporter, and said, in an unintentional stage whisper that he hated Ted Cruz, and giggled.

That's about how accountable our govt is. All you can do is say, "Hey! You're not supposed to do that!" And then they flip us the bird and keep on keepin' on. Seems legit.
