DatCat809, @DatCat809 @DATCAT809 DATCAT is my channel for dedicating and showcasing my love for the less fortunate cats that I come across in my daily life, this is not my full time job catching cats, I have a regular full time job. It all started in July 2020 when I dropped off some recycled boxes behind a busy grocery store near my house and soon realized a large amount of stray and homeless cats in need of help because clearly nobody was stepping up to the challenge and I just could not turn my back on these kittens and cats. There was a lady I came across that has been feeding these cats for many years yet she was only feeding them and not getting them homes or getting them "fixed" which to me makes no sense at all and unfortunately I learned quicky she had a heart for feeding them but not helping them any further when I witnessed two kittens disappear and 2 other on the verge of death and the lady did not step in to help not the mention the Mother cat of these kittens was basically a kitten herself on 6 months of age and honestly the perfect cat and again, soon realized this woman was not into find these cats a home or helping control kitten population in this particular area...........why spend food for more and more kitten and cats? Just more an more misery and struggle for the cats and kittens..........and the fact that the majority of her food is being eatin by birds..........SO I STEPPED IN and the last 4 years have been very expensive and difficult yet very rewarding knowing that I helped save 200+ cats and kittens and Im showing that even a cat or kitten that has never seen the inside of a house can still be a wonderful indoor house cat, shockingly the vast majority of kittens or even older cat prefer to stay inside and they have no intention of setting foot outside which surprised my quite a bit. So, my passion is helping these forgotten souls and giving them the 2nd, 3rd for even 0 chance of seeing other kinder side of this World and not the concrete jungle they are born into, its a brutal life for cats on the streets, avoiding dangerous people, vehicles, poisons via antifreeze, weed killers, pesticides, plants, glass, plastics or even discarded food with dangerous seasonings to cats, and yes, even cruel people who poison or even shoot cats.........this is something I have a passion for and I wish I could open a sanctuary, but I'm afraid that is only a dream, not reality. Help save a cat today, if you see or find kitten or cat that needs help, is sick, you can always take a sick cat or kitten to an Animal Emergency Hospital or Clinic, you are not responsible to pay anything because its not your cat, or dog. There are always slow cost spay and neuter clinics in every State, we can all make a difference, getting cats TNR (Trap Neuter Return/Release) and putting them back where you found them after getting them Fixed can make a huge difference, and female cats should be held 3 days after getting Fixed, male cats 24 hours and I never leave the cats in the trap the whole time, I put them in a flexible octagon shaped playpen and could easily close the side and make the playpen smaller to where they have to go back into the Trap or transfer trap........because TNR cats need to be in a trap when getting Fixed..........i just find it easier to put them in a playpen so they can use a litter box and I can keep them longer after getting them fixed......its honestly much less stressful for the cats, and yourself knowing they are much more comfortable and much less likely to make a mess.
