Clarithromycin is belongs to a group of medicine called Macrolides.

Macrolides consists of Clarithromycin, Azithromycin, Erythromycin & Roxithromycin.

Clarithromycin is used for Respiratory tract infection most commonly lower respiratory tract infection, Urinary tract infection, skin infection, pneumonia, otitis media, tonsillitis, H pylori infection, dephtherial infection & Chlamydial infections.

it's Side Effects are Nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, skin rashes, itching.

clarithromycin is available in drops, suspension and tablets form.

Drops are used in children's below 6 month of age.
Suspension is used the age between 6month to 12 years.
And the tablets are used in Adults.

Clarithromycin is always take with or after the meal.
