THE DROP is a new crime drama from Michaël R. Roskam, the Academy Award nominated director of BULLHEAD. Based on a screenplay from Dennis Lehane (MYSTIC RIVER, GONE BABY GONE), THE DROP follows lonely bartender Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy) through a covert scheme of funneling cash to local gangsters -- "money drops" -- in the underworld of Brooklyn bars. Under the heavy hand of his employer and cousin Marv (James Gandolfini), Bob finds himself at the center of a robbery gone awry and entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighborhood's past where friends, families, and foes all work together to make a living -- no matter the cost.

Just watched this at 3am. Couldn’t sleep full of anxiety about my life and where it’s heading. This movie was amazing. Idk if it was the anxiety or me just being into it but this movie had me completely inthralled in its plot. I’m not a huge Tom Hardy fan cause his acting is always the same. But man, this was very very good! James Gandolfini is always incredible to watch. I loved it all. The cop, the girl, the pup was super cute too. Just a great movie that needs more recognition. ❤

The way tom hardy has acted in this film has overshadowed everyone in my opinion seriously i mean i saw this film because of the legendary actor james gandolfini and he also acted brilliantly reminded me of soprano a few times i have two favourite scenes from this film is when tom hardy is wrapping the hand with foil and gandolfini says you doing it like you've done it a thousand times and then Tom's no reaction is the best tells you how good he is at what he's doing and the other scene at the bar with noomi rapace and matthias where he totally changed himself and not to mention she also acted so well just like me SHOCKED such a great film needs to be seen more 5/5

British actors are very cool. Tom is the most unique among British actors. He is neither better nor worse. He's just different. Another level of acting. Tom is an artist craftsman, creator. He is not playing a character. He creates it. He captivates you every socond while he is in the frame. I love it ❤

Goddamn... I just watched Jimmy's last ever film. He went out with a bang! He nailed his part. Tom's such a great actor because he owns his roles like no other can. This was an excellent movie. They left no room for criticism, I feel. Also, because of its pace and enough space between events, everything went smooth in the film. I know that Nadia came out with her jacket to go out with Bob. Don't we all just love it when truly deserving people get a second chance in life?
