The developer chose the perfect keys. Those 80's cash register style keys/buttons which are very 909-esque, are also on the Sequentix Cirklon and it's absolutely a joy to use. ❤

I must say that it is lovely to see what happens if someone really leaves out features instead of trying to add as much capabilities as possible! I don’t need this device as I can work and focus just fine when using my Deluge, but I definitely dig the minimalist approach of this thing.

This looks like the device I've been thinking about for a long time, down to the UI aesthetics. I really hope the dude open-sources the software so we can all chip in on improvements or further push the devices to our own individual needs. Great work!

Nice! We’re finally coming full circle and making it back to basically a Boss BR8 again. The fun days of recording ideas.

Nice that exactly the concept I would like for recording. The Op-1 tape workflow works great for me. So adding instrument after instrument makes sense when you can arrange and edit comfortably.

Very cool idea and I hope he's successful with it. It's also pretty similar to how I use my MPC One.

Incredible design and concept! Much love. USB hosting for a class-compliant audio interface for multitrack recording and I would have been seriously interested. One input doesn't suit my workflow or studio setup. Very very excited to see what this company is up to in a couple of years.

Such a great idea! My first steps recording music were with a Yamaha 4 track cassette recorder and it could also only record from two mono inputs simultaneously. But that really pushed my creativity, in a way which is hard to replicate with modern devices. People who complain that it should have the capability to record a band totally miss the point of the device. I'd love to get my hands on this thing, such a great concept and it looks fantastic, like something I want to work with!

Love the look. Love the idea. Just kills me when stuff like this ends up being well over $1k.

I like the fact that people are doing stuff and trying things out. I'm less enthused about one track recording (my 23yo Fostex does that) and definitely not impressed about the potential cost of 1500 credits - that's MPC Live2 with Polyend Tracker!

Looks Great! Looking forward to see more of the workflow on this! 😁👊

This guy is a musician, and this is geared towards someone recording one thing at a time; guitars, vocals, synth, etc. It's supposed to be like a new Portastudio, if you're someone sequencing 5 synths with a MIDI sequencer and and want to capture most of that in stereo, you're not really the target audience for this device. I agree that the price is a bit high, but that's how it goes for a lot of stuff with only one person behind it, he did say that he's hoping to find a way to scale up to decrease the cost per unit.

Seems like the quickest way to go from 🧠 to sketch pad rapido. I would definitely pay extra for fast n productive WFlow 👏
Well done 🥇🏆🥇

I have 3 focusrite sound cards, running into a MacBook and it’s absolute hell to multitrack 24 channels off my mixing desk direct outs. Something like this with 8 multi tracks would be a definite yes for me. Ableton is great but menus and the constant setting up is a chore. Oh and rack Mount kit for this would be great!

I really love the idea of a straight ahead eight track recorder. But it always comes down to form factor in price. Well, this thing is cool, a 13 inch laptop, and a small audio interface is essentially the same form factor. Also an MPC live or one offers the same workflow plus a lot more for about the same price. So to be competitive something like this would have to come in at around three or $400 I would think or else it’s a non-starter. Basically, you need to have a cheap, easy, portable sketchpad or it’s a no go.
