SALGA EASTERN CAPE PROVINCIAL EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE LEKGOTLA

The express aim of the PEC Lekgotla, amongst others, is to provide strategic direction and to:
1. Consider the external environment and how emerging issues will impact on the organisation’s strategic posture and direction
2. Reflect on successes, challenges and opportunities for the future
3. Define a Programme of Action for the future against the backdrop of a strategic framework set by the 2022 – 2027 Local Government Strategic
Agenda
4. Determine whether institutional and governance refinements are
required to enhance the strategy’s execution.
5. Identify key institutions whose mandate directly impacts local
government and determine the role that the PEC should play as part of SALGA’s mandate to represent, lobby and advocate on behalf of our municipalities
6. Identify provincial specific strategic interventions for the term as mandated by the Provincial Conference
