The BEST SPEED boots of 2025 are also the CHEAPEST? - Mizuno Alpha 2 Elite - Review + On Feet

The latest, top-end "speed" boots don't come cheap! Where as much as you don't need the most expensive boots, particularly in the "speed" category, there's no denying that they're simply the best! In the case of Mizuno's made in Japan product line, between the Alpha 2 and Morelia Neo 4 Beta, the quality and performance is undeniable! Their $320 price tag however, there's no other way to say it, for the vast majority, it's simply way too much. But what if you could have the same fit, feel and performance for nearly half the price?

In today's video we take a closer look at the new Mizuno Alpha 2 Elite, they're made in Vietnam alternative that retails for what is now a takedown model price tag of $180. But if they cost half as much, surely they aren't as good, right? Wrong! We discuss the good, the bad, how the Elites differ from the made in Japan Alpha 2 and ultimately why the cheapest top-end "speed" boots on the market, might also be the best ones!

180 for a top end model is insanely affordable, i was not expecting them to be so inexpensive

these are some of the best types of videos you put out where we get the same value as the top end boot at the 'lower tier' model. Ive been watching you for a decade and the only person i trust whenever i need a new boot! keep it up bro [and bring back the car channel!]

Great review, really keen to see if there is any difference in the a.g models.

Hopefully your review drops soon on the A.Gs.

Mizuno Morelia player here, been thinking about the switch towards the Alpha for months but I love that comfy leather feeling too much. This one might be THE one though -- the reflective effect is so beautiful!

Thank you so much for this video, big fan of your content! Very valuable information with the toe box, considering it was the opposite with the Alpha I. I might switch to the Elite version if I were to buy a pair of Alpha IIs.

I just got the alpha 2 elite and yes!! the room for the toe is perfect!! I have alpha 1 elite (1 pair for white and the other in red) and the problem is first pair fit well but the red one is too narrow. Really love the improvement and looking forward for the next pair with new color

Literally just what I was looking for with that new colorway drop. Great video!

I was able to try the Alpha Elite at my local sporting goods chain store and instantly loved them. Picked those up for FG games, and after using them just twice, I ordered a pair of AG and a pair of turf models for my other games because they were just too good. The touch is undeniable and they literally form to your feet and I didn't need any break-in time. Looking forward to trying out the Alpha 2s once the third colorway drops.

The ag is also even cheaper than the fg elite

Why is nobody mentioning the laces? The laces on the Alpha 1 were too short and not great. They've definitely changed it with the two.The Zeroglide is definitely the highlight and the best technology in a speed boot. I often use that insole to put in other football boots. I found with the alpha 1, the elite fit better (more snug) because the lining was thicker. Given they are so cheap, I can't see how they're charging so much for the JPN. It's not worth it at all in comparison, although all boots are overpriced anyway.

Just now realized that once NB does their Made In US/UK, things gonna change.

I got these from one of mizuno's online retailers in a sale for 135 USD. One of the first boots that really fit my foot perfectly. Greatly recommend them for anyone with a wider forefoot and midfoot.

Great review; we use Mizuno alpha elite as my son's go-to cleats; we have them now in 5 colors, including one indoors. The best, really. I confidently say it after spending a lot on the three major brands and was always disappointed, or mostly so. I may have missed it, but you didn't mention the Enezy foam at the heel to give you a little bounce. I don't know how practical it is, but it shows innovation and some conversion between running and soccer shoes. Thanks again!

Hope this helps those buying Alpha for the first time. My heel to toe is 26 cm. I ordered the galaxy colour way of the MIJ in size 7 UK (26 JPN) and found them just slightly too tight. I’ve ordered 7.5 UK/265 JPN, but this time in this white iridescent and I think this colour look better!

Are you going to do a review for the AS turf, and AG versions?

Just bought a pair of the new Predator Elite FT using your code. Total came out to $220, saved 80 bucks.
Keep doing the Lord's work Joshua 🙏 🙌

I’ve got the 1st gen Alphas in the elite version. Managed to get them on sale for closer to 100 eur. Just wow in terms of performance. Mizuno really should go all out with marketing because their line up is amazing. (I have the Morelia Neo in pro and beta versions too)

Yea Mizuno elites are insanely good for value, especially when they're discounted or resellers selling them.

Is it possible if you can do a comparison of the Mizuno Alpha 2 Elite, Vapor 16 Elite, and the F50 Elite (Messi). I think we want to see the best speed boots ranked!
