I've tried Google messages and works good. But the customization for it is horrible and just looks bad. Even if the other person has rcs messaging you can customize very little. If they make that part enhanced i would switch over. Can't even put wallpaper as background in message window. Simply put it's very bland

Not in the UK, never have any issues about using the Samsung messages. Still available here, never had any notices from Google to switch over.

The funny thing is that bixby doesn't work with Google message app, like the OEM message app.

Samsung is slowly deleting features that users enjoy that set it apart from iPhone. I'm doing my best not to make the switch, but they keep testing me.

I really miss the category feature in Samsung messenger! That is the most productive feature when it comes to organizing. It's a hassle looking for clients that you would like to follow up with, but you have to scroll through 300 messages to find that client. If google add the category feature, productivity would be a whole lot better.

Another reason why I'm sick and tired of updating my phone.. If you don't want to loose a UI feature, there is no turning back and undo the damage! Just like the vertical app drawer and colored AOD to name a few

I don't like Google Messages at all. I saw the banner for it months back telling me to switch from my Samsung Messages, and I'm like 'Nope, not happening.' I tried it out one time and didn't care for it so I'll be continuing to use Samsung Messages otherwise, if they even think about getting rid of Samsung Messages, then I'll just switch back to using iPhone entirely. Why make Samsung feel like a Google Pixel phone when it is not???😢

The " upgrade to Google Messages " is supposed to dissuade users from switching to iPhone by offering iMessage compatability, and unifing Android messenging. ( Per Samsung retail training )

I've been using Google messages for a couple of years, and it has its advantages. But I do miss the Samsung integration, like sharing a msg to Reminder, and the customization.
