Don't let others inject doubt. Guard your mind more than anything.

It is part of a Hadeeth (Prophit's saying): Literally, it means: Seek help to accomplish your demands (needs, requirements) through confidentiality. The meaning is that you can achieve your demands if you kept them confidential.

This is very true. In India people usually don't tell others their goals or plans because they are worried that it will bring them bad luck.

Enjoying those who are priviledged to know and are actually happy and encouraging my goals 🎉 Those are precious rare diamonds 😇

True it's like sharing the energy and it will leak away.

Yes. While sharing your goals with a select few who can support and encourage you can be beneficial, it's not always necessary to broadcast your intentions to everyone. Ultimately, the choice of when and with whom to share your ambitions is a personal one😊

When you trust humanity and yourself, you can tell the world your vision.

It's not just about the motivation. Just simply some people give you a negative energy because they are not happy to see others do something better

Naval Ravikant said the opposite of this. When he said he will go build a company, the social expectation help him accelerate towards actually doing it

If I tell someone that I will do something then I'm committed. So far never had to back down from a commitment.

This really depends on the kind of person you are. As someone who is motivated pretty much only by fear, telling the world will make me so scared of failing to deliver that I will actually succeed.

Yes! This is so true! I can vouch for this. And every human who has ever experienced it can as well.

When I decided I wanted to quite drinking as my new years resolution, I didn't want to inform anyone of the goal. I wanted to get at least a few months in before telling others. I didn't want anyone else to hold me accountable or pressure me. I was doing this for myself and no one else. After about 4 months, I told my therapist, and she was shocked I didn't tell her or really much of anyone else. I just didn't make a big deal of it. It's funny, once I hit the year mark, I just didn't really care at all. I felt no real need to share it or celebrate it. Sure, I was an alcoholic and it's cool and all that I quit, but I think the absolute coolest part of the whole thing was that I hardly even cared and didn't make it a big deal. It felt like more of a success because of that.

This coming up new years will be 2 years. I really don't even think I have to be "sober" from alcohol for forever just because I had an issue with drinking. The 4 years before I quit, I had already mastered my goal of moderation and I honestly think I would be fine having a drink whenever I want and maybe one day I will. At this point, I'm just curious to see how long I'm going to go without it lol I'm also curious what would be the reason I'd have a drink? A party, a wedding, a celebration of life/funeral, or just because margaritas are fantastic and why not? Who knows lol

Maybe that isn't exactly what this video is about, but it really is interesting how not really telling others can change how you feel/think about the goal. It feels much more rewarding. I don't think I'd feel any better having people congratulating me or whatever. Don't get me wrong, its nice, but it does nothing for me.

Anyways, just sharing some thoughts. Have a nice day. 👍
