The 1E AD&D DMG has some great random generators

I think donjon basically just automates it's dungeon generation table

Can't say that I'm a fan of Oracle Dice methods. Seems like it would slow play if you have to roll for everything. Also, I generally just answer the questions based on how the location / encounter / thing appears to me within my own imagination.
Player: "Is the door locked?"
Me in my head: (does it make sense for the door to be locked: yes or no)

I like the idea of random tables for low / no prep though. While it may slow down play if you are not using it for advance prep, if you got absolutely nothing then at least the table can give you some basics to start with. Once you have the basic premise rolled up then you can move away from / minimize rolling during play.
