The only reason people want a unified language is so that the prestigious and most widely spoken "dialect" becomes the official variety and all the other "dialects" die out. This is very European and modern, and now China is doing the same thing with their languages. There should be protection for all languages, and if Canada wasn't taken over by the white Europeans, we could've seen various nations all with similar languages but all official and protected in their own nations.

Tthat is not a good idea at all. You will proserve your language for years from the occupiers then kill it by your hands ? Listen! They all are not the different dialects of the same languages. There are different Inuit languages and they had better standardize them and keep them alive.

Amazing, I didn't know that Christian missionaries helped the Inuit design a language to help them read the Bible. That's quite incredible

Inuit esperanto???!?!?!?!?! I am Inuk and Mohawk and these "facts" are VERY off. How Qalunaak of you. Leave education of Inuk affairs to the Inuk people ourselves.
