Way, way, back in the jurassic period, I used Clairol Metalex for that purpose. That stuff removed hair color, relaxer, random thoughts and bad boyfriends. No wonder it got discontinued.

I use clarifying shampoo often. It helps areas of eczema on my scalp. My hair is thick and long. I do follow with a hot oil treatment, deep conditioning, and a leave in. Afterwards, I do notice, that my moisture sustains longer and my eczema doesn't flare-up.

This is off subject but I watched your video on gray hair in which you talked about using 20 volume cream developer after relaxing hair to eliminate yellowing that is caused by the relaxing chemicals. I did as you described and my hair came out beautiful! No more drying violet or blue shampoos for me. Thank you a million times!

You may change my hair for the better. I bought clarifying shampoo because I assumed all humans eventually needed it. I really had no clue as to what it was doing. Knowledge truly is power.
