I hate struggling on a trick and forcing a (non)filmer to suffer through my downfall. What about you guys?

I think filming alone takes off a lot of pressure. But also that pressure can help make some cool shit to go down.

I've been learning this, landing with the heel pinch on the crook is the scariest part. You got it dialed

Always had a hard time getting crooks to slide. Too heavy on the front foot and the board just sticks. Flipping into it just adds to the challenge. Good job homie 👍

Literally found this video because I was trying to learn Kickflip Crooks today. You described perfectly how it went with my filmer. An hour of feeling so bad the homie had to sit and watch me fail a million times. He swore he didn't mind. Still feel guilty though.

Filmers are here to serve me.
I don't tolerate any backtalk if you're filming me.

I’ve felt this exact way quite recently. I only skate with one friend at the park and feel like I’m robbing him of an otherwise enjoyable session if I take the normal amount of time it takes me to execute a trick for the first time. Once I feel like I’ve taken too much time I just tell him that I’ll come back by myself with a tripod, which is the way 95% of my footage is filmed 🤷‍♀️.

I got a homie that I go to parks with here and there, and he always brings his go pro.. session is usually cool, until he breaks out that damn go pro.. because then I'm stuck filming for the rest of the session. He likes to make up a line, usually tricks hes not super familiar with, which is cool cuz he trying something new.. but I'll be stuck filming for hours on end due to him not landing his tricks.. and it's always "I got it right here" and I dont have the heart to tell him I'm tired of filming.. after so long he starts changing up the tricks to shit hes moe familiar with, and making a lackluster line.. which sometimes still takes forever to land..

Youre right about that guilt feeling. Now and then Ill do something cool or funny and friends want to film it That will take me the longest or I wont land it at all. But then Ill go alone to film and pull it having the most fun (and good music always helps).

I try to set a limit on my tries just so I don't annoy the filmer

I totally agree tripod is great for learning but when you're trying to get a serious clip a filmer is definitely needed, but if you were going to get a serious clip you probably want to be familiar with the trick first so you don't end up saying sorry I've been in that position many times

Flip fs crook/heel if it’s easier since you have heels better? You got it, I’ve nearly done it with a flip and you’re a way better skater than I am, got a few years on me but that’s just experience, hope you’re doing well despite shitty views Steve
