Chinese gybe snaps kite pole

A Chinese gybe resulting in a snapped spinnaker pole after a 30 knot gust hit in a RNZYS winter series race in Auckland. On board a Beneteau First 45.

oh no boys. that was some heavy stuff, i never been on a boat getting pushed sideways like that in a round out or chinese gibe. was getting all excited for what i thought what was coming for the richmond race that sunday and we had less than 10 knots and got sun burn.
