Looking for a fun Back to School snack? Check out these Pepperoni Pizza Puff Pastry Pinwheels brought to you be @jus_rol_northamerica #sponsored.
These pinwheels are flaky, savory and quick to make. Plus they would be fun to make with the kiddos as an activity! I love how consistent Jus-Rol products are to use and they are often on our meal plan.
Ingredients: yield 12 pinwheels
1 package Jus-Rol Puff Pastry
1/2 cup marinara sauce plus 1/2 cup for dipping
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded cheese (I used Mexican blend and Mozzarella)
1/2 cup small diced pepperoni
Optional: Parmesan cheese to finish
Method:
Roll out the Jus-Rol Puff Pastry on a cutting board
Spread the marinara sauce on the dough, leaving a 1/2 inch border on the edge closest to you
Sprinkle over the Italian seasoning, followed by the cheese and pepperoni
Starting at the corner furthest from you, start rolling a log using a typewriter motion
Once your log is formed, wrap your dough in the parchment paper and refrigerate for 30-60 minutes
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Remove the parchment paper, using a serrated knife, make 3/4-1 inch slices
Arrange the pinwheels, swirl side up on a parchment paper lined baking sheet
Bake for 15-18 minutes at 400° until golden brown
Heat the remaining marinara sauce in a bowl, sprinkle Parmesan cheese over pinwheels and marinara
Enjoy!
