Typical clientele of an auto parts store.

"HI there! I need some new wiper blades, mine are pretty worn out!!!"

"Okay ma'am, whats the year make and model?"

"Fuck, if I know, it's red."

lol imagine trying to help someone and them getting annoyed you asked them info they should have or could easily find on the outside of the car

Well then go to your owners manual and read it literally tells you all the info or literally take your old one out it literally has a part number on it

More like a personal problem that you don't know your own vehicle

I had this lady come in looking for brake pads and I asked her if it was 2 W or AW and she said “idk, it has four wheels.” And I’m like ok….😂😂

Really! Customers Need to inform themselves Better about their vehicles. Don’t Insult the Associates Trying to making them look Stupid cause they don’t know your vehicle. It’s your Responsibility as Owner. All vehicles are make Different.

how do you NOT know what specifications are on your car? "it goes VROOM VROOM?" so...when you went to the car dealership to buy this car did you just tell them?...."I don't know man all I want the car to do is go VROOM VROOM." you might as well have had "sell me whatever" as a sign hanging on your neck and over your chest. my God....

Love customers like these. Really makes a highlight in my shifts. They ask for a part for their car and point to their car like I’m gonna know the year of it just by looking at it. Oooh and when customers coming saying they have a car (example: yeah I got a chevy truck but it has a tundra engine and I need a bmw alternator for it) then they proceed to call us stupid because we can’t figure out what part they need for their Frankenstein car.

And this is why working at Autozone amuses me everyday. Some people don’t even know the color of their car 😂

Y’all not realizing asking the engineer size/vin for a headlight bulb is crazy. If the car is parked outside and neither of you know what it is. Get out from behind the counter and look out the window or ask the customer to go look themselves because they should at the very least know the year and model of the car. Which is more than plenty information for most vehicles headlight bulbs. I know this because I am a ISS at oreillys (Installer service specialist) I sell car parts to professional customers and manage store deliveries. Just this month we’ve done over 100k

This is the problem with working in the automotive industry with certain customers.

They don’t know what the problem is what part they need or what car they have.

I one time had to explain to my friend. I can’t help you if you don’t know what you need or what you’re looking for.

He had to learn the hard way by when he then went to another auto shop just thinking I was being difficult and they asked him all the same questions I asked him.
