I have been on South Western Railway down to Portsmouth Harbour and the journey is very good.

Slight correction, Portsmouth & Southsea is not the busiest station in Portsmouth. Before the pandemic, that was Portsmouth Harbour, but more recently, it has Fratton, so I guess people must have overinterpreted the phrase to get off at Fratton.

Where do you store your suitcase? I am concerned that it will be stored out of sight of where you are sitting.

I am an American tourist and typing this onboard the train in first class.

Is it worth it?

NO. No WC, no in seat USB charging. No large luggage storage at the end of the train. It is rubbish and this is my third time on it.
