4520 Kinze Repower- 8V71 Detroit Diesel

In this video we take out our 4520 to do some plowing with a 6-bottom 3600 John Deere plow. After plowing we take it back to the shed and I'll tell you everything I know about it, which admittedly is not a lot with this tractor. Nevertheless, enjoy, and stay tuned! Early next week I am releasing the 5020 Detroit video, it's going to be good!

Have worked with a lot of screaming Jimmys in the oilfield and marine service. Those GM engines are highly reconditionable with sleeved engines and over and under sized bushings available. They work best under full load and burn cleaner. But wear ear protection because they do make noise. Regards.

As a kid I grew up Ron and 5020s 4020s All day long but I just can’t imagine sitting on that thing all day I mean it sounds neat for probably 30 minutes to an hour but when you get to grinding on it it’s gonna drive you batty and hail

Those tractors will easily pull 8 bottoms. Used to pull 8/16" plow with heavily weighted slightly turned up 4520 back in the 70's.

A good Detroit blower man can set it tight enough it'll whistle! 318-3hp and 18 oil leaks!😉 A good engine in a tractor or stationary role, could smell a hill miles away in a semi truck...
