In this video, I compare the portrait capabilities of a Canon EOS 7D Mark II camera with a Canon EF 50mm f / 1.8 STM lens and a full frame Canon EOS 6D Mark II camera with a Canon EF 85mm f / 1.8 USM lens. I photographed the model in overcast autumn weather using a portable Godox AD600 flash.

Great shots, love the smart choice of beautiful dark green natural background, burgundy coat and extra light for excellent separation. Just great. As for separation, seems like FF+85mm gives a bit more of it than APS-C+50mm (80mm in FF)...

Great comparison! Thanks! For better bokeh, this video might eliminate a person's intention to but a APS-C camera body for using with a 50mm f1.2 lens. I just made a similar test for comparing 85mm f1.8 on FF camera (Sony A7RIII) vs 50mm f1.2 on APSC camera (Canon 60D). The bokeh of the 85mm at f1.8 on the FF camera is significantly blur than that of the 50mm at f1.2 on the APSC camera.

Great comparison. Both great options however getting full body shots on 50 paired with aps-c is a nightmare... too small background blur. When it comes to waist up both are gorgeous.

нужно было уж и диафрагму на 85 поставить эквивалентную кропу, а не 2.0 там и там
2.0 на полтосе
и ну где-то 3.5 на 85 соответственно
очевидно что 85 на фф размывает лучше на открытой)
