Lasers: not a particle beam (also weak af)
Ballistics: not a particle beam
Missles: decent burst, but also not a particle beam.
Particle Beams: if you aren't using these, you're doing it wrong.

I was kind of hoping you would show how to use a combo of auto-turrets and the suppressor to board ships. I have just been running around with no power in the auto-turrets and then powering them up when I want to just destroy the ship, instead of using the suppressor to disable them. The only issue is when there are multiple ships and you can't tell the auto-turrets not to murder the one you want to board. Lol.

To make the particle turrets extra unfair: mount them all on one side of your ship, facing sideways, and fly in a big circle with occasional boosting. enemies eagerly funnel into the cone of death lol

Hi buddy. Tks for taking the time to write this in-depth guide.
One thing to mention related to the auto-cannons/turrets, you can board other ships, you just have to manually take the power off them and they will deactivate.

Also, if you haven't already and looking for a challenge, go to the Alchiba system and you'll find a legendary battleship to fight against.
Keep it on very hard mode, of course.

Ps: The battleship is not boardable as it has prototype "M" class ship modules. Tried it several times.

You can also just install your turrets in the back of your ship facing backwards. Run away and still kill stuff.

I swear by particle beams. Just equipping two sets for dogfighting made my ships so much more formidable. Haven’t tried turrets, might as well give them a try next NG+
