I'd argue against picking Garnacho, tbh.
I don't think Garnacho is nailed, right now, for a couple of reasons.
1) Amad has been Uniteds best player in pre-season by some distance and has started every game. He's a very different kind of player to Garnacho, and ten Hag is now implementing the style he used at Ajax, rather than a counter-attack, half-field press, as he has the last two seasons, which makes technical inside forwards like Amad, a more valuable type of player than the pacey wingers that were favoured the past two seasons.
2) Garnacho is a left winger who played on the right to fit Rashford in. Rashford is a very useful player because he's both fast and technical, and better at both aspects than Garnacho is. Garnacho is great but the main part of his game is skinning full-backs, and he's simply not that fast, so he looks a hundred times better coming off the bench against tired legs. He isn't going to be able to do what he did in the charity shield, if he starts.
3) Sancho, Rashford, Mount and Amad have all been learning the new system all summer and constantly rotating between the frontline positions during each match and between them took 95% of the minutes in pre-season. EtH's 4-2-3-1/4-2-4 high-press isn't a simple system to understand, especially for the front-line, and I can only assume that with most international players only being with the squad just over a week, we're not going to see any of them get the majority of minutes until after the next international break, as they learn the teams new tactical set up.

I’m probably on an island here, but I don’t love the premium midfielders outside of Salah for game week 1. All the 9.5-10.5’s have concerns over mins due to Euros and/or poor fixtures. Don’t like the two 8.5’s either. That combined with Salah’s fixtures gets him into my team

Zinchenko has looked really good in the preseason, califiori not ready yet, timber and Tomi are injured. Save 1m as well. A good punt for early wild carders?

I was at the Brighton Villarreal game the other day and Barco was on alot of the free kicks in wide positions, put in a good amount of dangerous crosses in too! He pushes so high up the overlap with Mitoma on that left wing as always on and a major threat. Needs to improve quite a bit defensively though imo. Quite a few times he got caught out with through balls in behind because the line we were holding was so high. Barco also put in a couple of heavy tackles in that game (like Simeone esc), so don't be surprised if he grabs few yellows along the way either. Regardless a no brainer pick for me

Andy the GOAT, this video has definitely helped me shape my opinion on GW1 and the next few fixtures. I’ve compromised by going Quansah and upgrade garnacho to Jota but all of your content has really helped my decision making. I hope you do sick this year!

After twisting my roster back and forth like a Rubiks cube I went back to where I started. Elite players (Selah, Watkins, Saka, Trent Alexander-Arnold), some solid performers (Pickford, Eze, Isak), a couple of reliable defenders (Robinson, Mykolenko), lower cost players who might break through (Joao Pedro, Rogers, Quansah, Barco) and Pickford's backup (Virginia). What caused me issues was what to do about Haaling (I decided not to have tunnel vision about his WK2 game and focus on what I would have to give up to have him compared to the difference between him and Salah (or Watkins for that matter since I could afford him by going against Haaling). Then there was the Nkunku and Pedro dilemnas. I had this voice in my head (that sounded remarkably like Andy's) steering me onto Nkunko and off Joao Pedro. I may regret it, but I needed the savings from Joao Pedro and Rogers to underwrite players I wanted more. This should be a roster I can live with until the dust settles and we've seen who some of the emerging players and busts are. It's not exciting, it won't get me in the top ranks, but it should get me off to sustainably good start.

Considering Martinez from UTD is injury free, and UTD lacking in a fit left back, i could see him stafting at LB. At 4.5 and nailed it seems like a solid option. Mazrouai plays on the lef side he'll slot into the cb position.
This as a replacement for Robinson

for me I'd much prefer Solanke over Pedro tbh considering the fixtures, I'm actually quite happy with the cheap defender options this season, especially after the point changes for defenders makes me happier with the cheaper options out there, to compensate i've got Raya for arsenal cover

Great video as always! Think I prefer the Raya/Andersen combo to Henderson/Gabriel. Just that certainty on long term gametime and save 0.5

I would suggest swapping the defense: Raya+Andersen instead of Henderson+Gabriel. Saves you 0.5, avoids the benching dilemma on Gabriel, while still retaining the Arsenal-Palace defense.
