I don't have cats. It 1:30 in the morning, why am I watching this and why do I have a favorite cat litter now?

2004. Stray cat walks into my yard, starts rubbing up against my leg and purring. Cat says, "I'm homeless. Take me in. I won't be any trouble at all. You'll hardly know I'm there." Lies. All lies. What I got instead was 16 years of vet bills, 16 years of daily brushing, 16 years of picking up her poop, 16 years of picking up her vomit, 16 years of vacuuming cat hair, 16 years of cat scratches, and oddly I have loved it all. I don't get it. I don't get it at all...

Take it from a plumber, flushing your litter is a GREAT idea! I expect I’ll be meeting some of you in the future ;)

I think it’s important to note that not everyone may have volunterily chose to declaw their cat but maybe they adopted one that was declawed by a previous owner. So informing people of a litter that can be helpful or easier to use for a declawed cat is a very nice thing to mention for those who have cats with sensitive paws in general also. Thank you for mentioning that. I appreciate that thoughtfulness. My cat is not declawed but I know this video isn’t even about declawing cats it’s about litter for certain types of cats. Hopefully everyone else commenting understands this also.

We tried a corn based litter once and my cat immediately tried to eat it. So that was a no. XD

Just a suggestion - when you pour the litter to show dust (which is a great idea thank you!): turn off all the lights and have one strong wide beam of light coming left to right across the top of the pan pan - it will light up the floating dust like dust in a sunbeam and allow the camera to catch the image better for us to see.

Please NEVER declaw you cat. Declawing is the process of amputating the first knuckle of the paw. It has been know to cause lots of side effects such as aggression, arthritis, peeing outside of the litter box, and can lead to death if your cat escapes and can’t catch his own food or protect himself.

A lot of people don't think about the dust aspect for their cats. If you find it dusty then just imagine how your cats are dealing with it when their lungs are much smaller then yours and their all up in the litter multiple times a day.

I am amazed at how much your cats tolerate all the tests with so much change! 😮

I 100% understand all of the comments about declawing, but sometimes a cat is declawed before you adopt them, which is my case. I would never declaw, but it wasn’t my decision. So, it’s helpful to know that certain litters are better or worse for my baby. 😻

I think it was smart to mention declawed cats. While it is extremely horrible, there are still people who will do it unfortunately and cats who get adopted that have already been declawed and it is important their owners have that information. I didn’t think it ruined the reviews nor was it off putting. It was information. Peoples concern is understandable but some of these comments are a little too much. Voicing an opinion is important though so it’s their right.
I appreciate all your research and your video! I love feline pine but I think I’m going to try another one soon so this helped a lot.

Pine pellets hands down for me. $6 for a 40 pound bag, so definitely a great pick for anyone on a limited budget. The pellets absorb the urine, turning to sawdust and completely neutralize the odor. Using a sifting box, and stirring the pellets with a scoop, the sawdust will fall thru the sifter into the bottom tray. Then I just scoop the poop with a pellet scoop, shake the pellets loose, and flush.

Pine pellets have been the best for me. I was given Feline Pine when I was a foster cat mom. Once I adopted my own cats I stuck with pine pellets purchasing the 40lbs bags for horse stall bedding saving tons of money, and the odor control is awesome! Plus it’s bio-degradable, very good for eco-conscious owners 👍🏼

I'm glad that you took declawed cats into consideration. I recently rescued a cat that was declawed pretty early in life and although he doesn't act any different from our other cats I know that it does affect him. Declawing should never be done if not medically necessary. Putting that aside, I'm a bit confused as to why people are going off in the comments, is she supposed to act as If there aren't cats that are declawed? This video wasn't about declawing, it was about litter. At no point in the video did she condone it so there shouldn't be a problem. Thank you for the video. I appreciate the time and effort it took to make it.

great review, I especially liked that you showed how dusty it could be while pouring.

DON’T DECLAW CATS! In many states it is illegal. It is animal cruelty.

I really appreciate how much effort went in to testing all of these so thoroughly! Very informative and incredibly helpful!
I'd also like to thank your cats for putting up with what was probably an rather odd experience, so we could see them accurately compared.

I imagine it was somewhat like me going into the bathroom tomorrow, and seeing the water is bubbly, and the next day it looks like milk, and then the next day it's some kind of chunky jello substance. They were probably so curious about what was going on haha.

We adopted a 10 year old declawed cat back in 2015. Her name is Popcorn, and she’s a sweetheart. I was sad to see her claws missing, to combat that truth we shower her daily with lots of love.
