My grandmother was celibate, back then it was just called a widow. She was not interested in starting a new relationship after my grandfather died because she already had kids and grandchildren. She said the point of getting married is to start a new family. I’m 56 yrs old I can’t give a man children so why waste a man’s time and resources. We said for companionship, she said no thank you.
