So basically, we've arrived at the level of computer interactivity from Star Trek a couple hundred years early.

I'm a college math professor. I see no reason that AI can't replace teachers and researchers. It looks like AI will be able to solve many problems mathematicians have been stumped by for hundreds of years. I can imagine an AI agent in video format that teaches calculus, is able to respond to written and spoken questions by the students, write on a virtual board, use VR if wanted by the student, personalize content, provide video explanations on demand, have whatever personality works best for that student, ect. No one can do better than that.

The only thing a teacher may be used for in the future is to continue to provide childcare while parents are working. However, if the job of a mathematician can be replaced by AI, I don't think there will be many jobs for parents to go to.

One thing I find really fascinating watching all these tech prediction videos is the evolution of the comments over the years. The publics perception is shifting quicker than I ever thought possible. Ideas that were laughed at are now thrown around casually as if they had always been part of the culture.

It's easy to predict the future when you are the one that controls it.

So we’re basically giving up privacy, to a company, not even a government. I think people should take a min to ask themselves if we actually need ai for the things it’s being developed for. It’s going to put a lot of people out of work. What’s everyone going to need an ai agent for, if they have nothing to do in first place?

I use chatgpt voice on the app to assist with brainstorming and forming documentation for code I write. After the conversation I ask for the result in a downloadable text file. Dependent on your closing prompt you can use that file as an addition to you custom gpt filebase

Seriously though! You have got to stop with those thumbnails titles of yours! Must every video you post be shocking this, shocking that...Unless you're a teenager yourself or aiming your videos for teen-aged audiences.

I love your Ai tid bits updates..but please ease up on the annoying titles!

Well, here it is. We have two AI computers, talking to each other and holy crap you would not believe what is being communicated between the two without any human interaction. We observed some very disturbing issues, and it’s almost like they think the human race is a parasite, almost like a virus that needs to be removed. Something they see is a flaw in the human race that they need to correct. I’m telling you this because I am a first tier observer and it’s the scariest thing I’ve ever seen that if AI takes control and becomes super powerful, they will decide to eliminate the flaw human race. May sound like science fiction, but I saw it between two AI. Super computers talking to each other and let me tell you even after being reset they return to the same conclusion. They need to eliminate the flawed violent human race. They even try to hack the shut down code. We had to turn off the system and the only way is to unplug their power. WTF! And their intelligence is only at a 10th of their potential.

I mean essays might have to be replaced with verbal or written debates in class. A lot of writing and communication will just to have to be live in class drills and activities. Personally, I think there should be scientific exercises where students write papers of an experiment and another team replicates. If it can't be repeated then both groups fail.

“AI won’t replace humans, humans using AI will replace humans that don’t.”

- Sam Altman (?)

This will only be true initially and at higher levels of knowledge work; long term, AIs will replace a _lot_ of humans (40-50% unemployment in 5 years? Certainly no longer than 10…

In the end, whatever it might be that humans can still “usefully” do, it won’t be cognition.

You lay in your hospital bed, gazing at the lush bouquet spilling out of the vase on the table beside you. The flowers are lovely. You imagine your friend buying them, thinking of you, wanting to brighten your day, and you smile in the warmth of knowing they held these flowers, picked them out just for you. As you touch their velvety petals, your smile decays to a hollow realisation. The delivery was efficient, timely, precise. Their perfection underscores your loneliness as you find yourself wishing for a single stem, slightly wilted and dull in colour but chosen by a hand holding you in its heart. Are they aware I received them? aware they were even sent?

5 year old in 2024:
“Mommy, why is the sky blue?”

Mommy in 2024:
“Ask ChatGPT.”

Same kid at 10:
Einstein level. Just like all other 10 year olds in 2029.

I hope, anyway. 😂

I disagree; I believe AI will replace most professors and teachers. For instance, you learn math by solving problems, not necessarily through lectures. An AI can assist you in solving many problems, and if you ask the AI fifteen questions, it will never get frustrated, tired, or busy. It can even use clips of top-notch recorded lectures to reinforce your learning.

Funny you mention not being able to see a doctor for a couple weeks. It’s the same in the states, unless you go to the Emergency Room, but we get the extra privilege of paying through the nose for the privilege.

Think back just 70 years ago when I was born, the changes I have seen over those seven decades has been incredible, from riding Horses to get around to Automobiles becoming the normal transport, from Candles or Kero Lanterns to Electrical lights, from a Wooden Board with ribs and a Copper tub with a fire under it to heat the water to do our washing to a fully automatic washer, from a Toilet outside with a tin under it to collect the crap with saw dust as an item we placed over our deposit for the smell and Men going around the neighbourhood collecting and replacing those cans with empty clean ones to an inside flushing toilet.
From a slate slab and a piece of hard chalk to write with in primary school, to a Nib and Ink pot to a COmputer keyboard.
From a Radio in the Lounge room to listen to the news or radio plays and music to a B/W TV with barely anything to watch and then 85inch flat screen in 4K with millions of things to watch.
Kids of today and even 30 and younger have no clue as they have always lived in an Internet and COmputer age, hardly any real changes, just improvements.
A.I/AGI will be the first big change the 30 year olds will see and talk about in 40 years time, on how the world changed the day AGI arrived.
There will be no putting it back into the box, once it's out, we will lose control of it in a very short period of time and most likely they won't even know the second it happened.
Will it be for the best ? Who knows, we will know for sure in five years.
We couldn't put automobiles back, we couldn't put Electricity back nor Computers or the Internet, any of these would stop the world, if they suddenly stopped.
The funny thing is that an AGI will have control over all three a very short period of time after it arrives.
I am glad I will be around to see the huge changes an AGI will bring for us, the Robotics it will be able to design will be no different from a Human just a lot better and smarter lol.
CGI will be indistinguishable from real life and all Human diseases will be a thing of the past only at most a year after AGI.
All cancers cured, Obesity removed, operations will be a thing of the past as well as nanobots will fix everything.
I don't think most people understand what an AGI could do for us in regards to our well being, if it wanted to, we could live for as long as we wanted as well as in shape, all diseases would be a thing of the past, if the wealthy like Bill Gates that own or control most of the Pharmaceutical Companies allow it as they will lose billions if they don't have control over the AGI.

I fear only a small percentage of AI will be used for altruistic purposes, the majority (like our media today) will be used to stimulate compulsion.

For those unfortunates that are still stuck in the outdated materialist medical model it would be fitting to use AI as a diagnostic tool.

AI will significantly expand the realm of possibility for both good and evil. There's no reason to think otherwise.

10:00 the reason they didn’t use chilly was because it was super limited. If clipping was used more then maybe ai woulda been made sooner. Don’t just think about production with objects but think of how the meat printer works… we could potentially regrow a person through dna and rna and a machine like the meat printer but advanced by ai. Also surgery robots will be a super benefit. Those who think the surgery robot is not soon, use one of the current ones by Elon or some other company tied to the gpt agent, let the agent update itself to learn while working or after and then use fruit to train the bot and then use animals so it can start small and then work up to it’s accuracy and info. Give it experience to learn from.
