For the briefest of moments a man became a God. Healing the crippled, purifying the earth, and offering mankind a peace through mental connection. He gave humanity everything it needed and everything it wanted. Yet in the end they still turned on him. So unfortunate.

Sadly, in my opinion I think the only way you assess wether an AI or network is conscious is not the Turing test, far from it, I believe sadly that just like this film with the uploaded monkey. That the manner in which the monkey suffered and responded perfectly mirrored what would be expected is the measure of how relatable a neural network is

It’s still a complicated philosophy since technically if technology were advanced enough you could “duplicate” your consciousness into a computer but the philosophical question is what happens to your original one?

Same as teleportation if it requires destroying the original and putting it together at the other end. Some of us like myself believe in a soul but even if you don’t the same dilemma remains unless it’s a space time wormhole.
