🤿 Swimming with Sea Turtles at Carysfort Reef in Key Largo, Florida 🐢 John Pennekamp State Park

Filmed in the John Pennekamp State Park at Carysfort Reef in Key Largo, Florida this amazing video shot from my DJI Mini 3 Pro drone will give you a bird’s eye view of the reef and its inhabitants!
➡️ Swimming with the fishes and sea turtles and sharks oh my! The reef is home to a diverse wildlife population, and we were lucky enough to see several on our snorkeling adventure at Carysfort Reef.
This reef is one of the many SPA (specially protected areas) in the John Pennekamp State Park.

Named after the ill-fated HMS Carysfort, a navy post ship that crashed into the reef in 1770, this reef is home to the oldest functioning lighthouse of its kind in America. This lighthouse was the first Florida reef light to be built.
➡️ Carysfort Reef is one of my favorite snorkeling sights in Key Largo. The spectacular drone footage shows a sample of the beautiful wildlife you can see at this reef!
Carysfort Reef is South of Key Largo and it's one of my favorite reefs, the lighthouse is amazing.

Nice views! The water is gorgeous. My wife keeps asking me to video some turtles or sharks. I have to remind it's the needle and a haystack scenario. The last time I got shark footage I didn't realize it till I was editing! You don't see that on a screen in the daylight. 😂 Of course the next mullet run should be easy to find some sharks. Good job on the video.
