Think about how crazy it is that this man was the best player on his team his whole life, makes it to a d1 team as a starting quarterback, throws for a ton of yards and td's during his tenure, and then not only goes undrafted but literally sees the field 1 time in 5 years to kneel out the end of a game. Thats how hard it is to make it

“I’m closer to Tom Brady than you are to me” moment.

That fun moment when you say you’ve played QB in the NFL in a “tell two lies and a truth” game at a corporate event and no one gets it right

The 9ers could've used you in their last game. Sucks for them

This is a small example of how good you have to be to even get a tryout for an NFL team. Buddy of mine got to catch a few balls from Matt Schaub at a charity event. His hands were bruised from asking Schaub to put gas behind it and they were all perfect accuracy. The same Matt Schaub who got eaten alive for throwing the most consecutive pick sixes in NFL history.

I like that the farthest target made the nicest sound.

Everybody knows this, but I'll say it anyway! Accuracy is critical, but being able to determine where a receiver will be when your throw gets there as well as the coverages ability to break on it is the major factor in what makes a QB successful. Being able to make adjustments at the line to cover all possible blitz combos as well as progressing through 1-5 different routes and knowing how much anticipation must be put on the throw in regard to when in the route the receiver will create separation during a cut is another! Being able to memorize a playbook and understand the scheme and knowing when to audible to an alternate play call based on defensive alignment is also another. All of this in 1-3 seconds mostly unless you have fast legs and can quickly find the hole to move to the side or up while keeping eyes downfield!

People see just how much talent professional guys have and even the guys like Kurt that arent on a team. But where people fail to realize, is that talent doesnt land you on a roster. You also have to have the knowledge to read defenses, place a ball in certain spot, go left or go right, etc. theres so much that goes into being a pro, its unbelievable

He should still be playing for the Packers. He was a good backup in preseason. He was fearless and just let the ball fly downfield. Was also a fan favorite in Green Bay. Everyone was bummed when he was released.
