Update: only worked for me with fix34 Cache. And instead of using winetricks directmusic command, i needed to add sh winetricks directmusic to Get it working

Are you saying that it doesn't install directmusic or that it instal it but the music still doesn't work? Is the later case install l3codecx also and add the override manually if needed. That file is necessary for Rise of Nations and i hade it installed when i tested Anno.

Did you put the winetricks file without the txt extension in the download folder? It needs to be there.
