Corsair Ultralight 0720

preview_player
Показать описание
Part 103 ultralight aircraft are the least regulated flying machines in America — and other countries also have low-regulation categories for lightweight single aircraft like this Corsair from JH Aircraft of Germany. However, this one is quite different from most other ultralights and not simply because it looks so distinctive. Corsair's main structure is constructed of all carbon fiber tubes, which helps it stay in the lightest category. This one is sure to turn heads at any airport. (TRT: 3:08)

The bend in the wings was due to ground clearance issues with the big propeller needed for the engine. Then the mains were able to be shortened to fold into the wings. The extra performance in handling due to the bent wings was more or less an accidental benefit.

Nice work Mr. Johnson as usual! You created all this Aviation space on YouTube! The young ones are thriving on youtube with this type of content and you showed them the template!

Unfortunately didn't capture the might of the F-4U Corsair. Looks much more like a Jodel.

So, I'm guessing we don't get the 1800 round capacity over all?
How are looking for hard points on the wings for rockets and such?

Shame that The Verner 3V motor has been discontinued... Hopefully a well built 1/2VW can work and keep part 103.

Circus director: we have a clown with a pilot license, but not the right plane...

Aero 19 Friedrichshafen: hold my beer.

The F4U was also known as the ensign eliminator. Amateur pilots should be very afraid.

It certainly doesn't look like a Part 103, does it? Wow.

Wait a second did he say UK? I never knew we were able to fly ultralights like this DAMN. Where do I buy one in the UK I am willing to spend my bank on this :D

So many WWII pilots reported very poor visibility over the nose during taxi and flare to landing. I wonder how the pilot perspective is on this!

I wouldn't call it so much a Corsair as I would say it's a gull wing ultralight. Nice aircraft. I like that so many ultralights are looking more like aircraft than just a powered sheet with tent poles. I'm not slamming those that like to fly that type of plane, it's just not what I see as an aircraft.

Neat and I believe you could actually do a full solid body sleek fast plane within 115kg but it's a bit of an artificial limit to chase because part 103 only allows 55knot level speed and requires 24knot stall. Plus it requires no training so how far do you want to push that. But I'm all for pushing how efficient a plane you can make. GA has been quite complacent ever since the earth was cursed by the existence of Cessna :) funny twist is you can have retractable landing gear on a 103. And I believe it can have a jet engine too, even two. And because a jet engine of fitting power can be very light, it's organic to the category. You could imagine a part 103, speed limited to 55knots yet actually capable of 500km/h cruise at FL400 :)

One of the best looking ultralights I have seen. How much?

Can it be ordered with an R2800 and at least four M2's?

It looks similar to a Corsair but not quite....Still, I'd love to own one and show it off....

You don't get the control surfaces till you buy it, that's how they prevent theft.
