listening to this at night hits different. it's dark, you're in your room, phone light illuminating the place-- you just think, _contemplate_ over the last few years. looking back at everything that's happened, regrets, happy times, everything.
for some reason, it feels bittersweet.

"'not towards me?!'" you exclaimed, "what does that mean?"

"not you specifically" I started...

ashes from the fire fell slowly around us like snow on a winter's day, calm yet devastating. heaping into piles of dismay.

"I gave humans everything they needed to survive, just like all my other creations... but I made you special, I gave you Intelligence and creativity..." I turned to you, with tears forming in my eyes.

"...but you all took it for granted, you wasted this beautiful world I made..."

I snapped my fingers, and the world changed again. the volcano repaired itself and the sky went back to blue, but the trees didn't come back. instead buildings, and houses, cars, and lamp posts.

people also appeared, but they were frozen in time like someone hit the Pause button on a remote control...

"you never took the time to realize what I gave you was exclusive to just you... but it's too late now..." I turned away again

"too late for what?" you blurted out,

"too late to fix it" I started again, "you changed the climate, cut down my trees, and polluted my oceans"

"But you can fix it, can't you?" you asked, tilting your head slightly...

I smiled, but it wasn't a happy smile but more of a chuckle. "it's not that simple..."

"first off, I'd have to restart the universe..."

"wait, " you said, "restart the universe?!"

"yes, removing the 'bad stuff' in this reality is too big to remove without no one noticing."

"oh..."

"second..." I started again "I would have to talk to we..."

"who's 'we'?"

I then looked at you, surprised. under my breath, I said "I shouldn't have said that"

"Who's 'we'?!" you said, in a louder tone

"'we' is one of me... it's a higher being that makes a living on making Universes..." you looked shocked "...we connect ourselves to our universes and go through a cycle of rebirth when it dies."

"wow, so there are more of you?" you questioned

"yes..."
