Toad battles and defeats Bowser, encounters Mario who then says "Sorry, Toad, but the a-Princess is in another a-castle", then Toad facepalms in annoyance and Mario laughs at him.

Here's an idea: an episode done in the vein of "Duck Amuck" where the world itself goes off the rails, Mario or Bowser has to constantly prod the (troll) game designer to do their job, and the "designer" is revealed at the end to be the other guy.

Bowser gets the axe before Mario but Mario turns into peach, bowser gets shocked and says “WHAT THE WHAT!” And peach says “LUCKY CHARM!” And makes bowser turn into a crown and bowser says “I quit being a kidnapper.”

The tomato sauce one gave me an idea: how about a level where Mario has to avoid sticky candy syrup? If he gets stuck in the goop, he loses a life!
Either that or maybe have a level where Mario has to scale a mountain of giant pasta.
