Jesus indeed was not born in December, the early Vatican decided to use that date to cover the pagan holiday on the winter solstice celebrated between the 20th and 23rd of December. Jesus was born in mid to late October or early November because the reason Joseph and Mary were going to Bethlehem was for the Roman census which is held right after harvest when Romans also collected taxes, that's the time when all the farmers sold their crops and they went to the home of their fathers to be counted and pay. The pagans' four main holidays are the summer and winter solstices, the longest day and night of the year and the Spring and Autumn equinoxes, the two days of equal days and nights and the Vatican wanted Christian holidays around those dates to cover them up. That's also around the time a Pope decided to make the official picture of Jesus resemble a caucasian European man instead of a traditional Middle Eastern man, Jesus was not white but more like others born in the Mediterranean man such as Iraqui or Iranian men. It doesn't require a rocket scientist to figure that out.

The reason Santa is coming through the chimney is because the Santa you know from America is based on a Dutch tradition “sinterklaas” (wich indeed comes from Saint Myra Nicholaas. The Dutch people brought it to America way back somewhere around 1500 - 1600 back when New York was New Amsterdam.

Attributing the inverted cross to Peter is wrong, the inverted cross is not a Christian symbol, Peter refused to make himself equal with Christ, hence the one who carried our cross is Jesus Christ, him alone died for all of us, Grory and honour belongs to him alone, the King of Glory
