The best loadout has to be crackshot roundabout super 2 and Ms.Chalice
It works on almost every boss IN THE WHOLE GAME

I prefer super three but you have to be careful where you position yourself in the third phase

Good loadout for boss
Heart ring
Crackshot for first and second phase
Chaser for third and fourth phase

It really depends your play style + character skills + boss benefits. If we are talking cuphead on bosses like werman or Sally stage play I will say chalice with crack shot + spread, spreads good for close up fights since it deals A LOT of early damage.
If we are talking just characters I would say for cuphead/Mugman to pick crack shot + whatever secondary fits the bosses play style + benefits, and the heart ring (NOTE: the parry-able EX move for the crack shot gives hearts for the heart ring but not for your EX) and for chalice I'd just say the same things. And supers are very controversial but I will say use super 1 for finishing fights or just last minute life, super 2 for bosses you need to deal damage on safely, and super 3 for lots of damage at once with an extra parry.

Finally, i got the S rank in all of the game. The last S rank for me was saltbaker. i got stuck in it, so haaaard that i stopped playing the game for 1 year and now i came back and fucked him up and got the S rank in all of the game
