I don't know why people make a big deal about face reveals or how it would "break the immersion." Everyone knows Vtubers are real people behind the model, and if you need some illusion that there isn't to cope with life then go get some mental help. If knowing the face and name of the voice actor to your favorite anime character or waifu or whatever doesn't make you suddenly hate that character, then knowing the person behind the vtuber shouldn't effect your enjoyment of their content. Vtubers are merely playing a role. Granted, it's one whose personality greatly overlaps their IRL personality, but it's still a role nonetheless. The same goes with vtubers revealing they're in a relationship. No vtuber, or idol for that fact, should ever have to apologise for being "caught" being in a relationship or other "male on stream" garbage. Again, if you need some illusion that the virtual character on screen is romantically available to cope with your own life, then get mental help because even if they were real your chances with them are zero.

Personally I like face reveals like how I enjoy watching Behind-The-Scenes of films. To me it's interesting to see the type of person and what they look like behind the mocap suits. I don't really care about their identity or personal life, but it's still an interesting thing to see the actual person behind the crazy movements.
