Just bought one. Great quality. The size is so small- it's practically a pocket radio. The tuning and selectivity is superb. You really can pull in anything.

Decent presentation of a radio I recently purchased. I would suggest you consider adding the antenna adapter, the NiMH batteries and their power adapter at the time of order (less shipping than after the event). This adds the ability to run off the adapter and as an aid in charging the batteries. Battery life is very good. I bought this for when we travel internationally. Domestic use proves it to be an amazing radio in a compact size. On SW, I heard about affairs leading to the fall of Assad three days before the event.

Wish they had the option to have the backlight on constantly. I like to sit in dim lighting. So would be nice to be able to see the screen. Too bad they didn't upgrade that to the skywave 2

I have the original Skywave SSB. I also have a TecsunH501 and Tecsun P330. The Skywave with its simple 2 AA battery power is the radio of choice. Worth mentinging I've dropped it a few times from table height(tripping over Antennae wire) and it keeps on working. Great radio.

thanks for the awesome review and walk thru, i picked one up and i love how simple it is plus, with no bt or wifi.
i like the pl330 - and Qodosen dx 286 all 3 i have are great radio's the price is a little high $90 usd. i scored the pl330 on ali exp for $50
but one of my fav's is the xhdata D 328 it is an amazing tiny radio .
