The Lira•8 is a digital attempt at emulating SOMA Lab's Lyra-8 signal flow and sound.
The Lyra 8 is a Russian drone synthesizer with 8 tunable voices each, FM, dual delay, hyper LFO and distortion.
It makes it optimal for drones, ambient landscapes, outer space sounds, etc.

i just downloaded this for fl studio and i have no idea how to use it, it doesnt respond to midi notes or stop button it just keeps droning on.

Fantastic, Mike! You've saved me $690 which I couldn't afford for a Lyra-8, so I sent you $10 :-). Your Lira-8 sounds really cool, and I've already used it in an ambient composition. Playing it live and recording it directly to tape gave me incredible sounds which I don't know if I could tell from the real thing. What would be even more cool is if the on/off for voices 1-8 could be programmed in midi. I use the AU in Logic and I found all the other controls, but not a voice on/off toggle for each voice. On the other hand, this keeps it a little less controllable, like the real thing! Amazing work, thank you so much!

OMG! This GUI layout is nearly identical to my (desired) laser controller's touchscreen GUI, made with PureData, except much nicer.
Couldn't figure out how to hide the patch chords, while keeping the numeric readouts accessible. So, I asked Sound Simulator and he pointed me here.
Heading to your channel in hopes for some tutorials.

I was able to get the standalone app running on Mac OS Monterey (M1) but not the au or vst3 plugin. I went through the Camille plugin generate guides but I noticed the Lira M1 plugin files already had all the references in the info.plist file edited. Apart from that could be that the daws (ableton & logic) won’t identify due to the security conflict. Does the Catalina hack in terminal work the same for Monterey?

I've tried VST3 and AUI but both doesnt work in Ableton, i did successfully used EP MK1 tho [AU doesnt work as well ..] I'm on OSX 10.15.6

i used this and couldnt play any notes, it just automatically played droning tones. it even played when I had turned it off, it didn't respond to any key presses. weird plugin.

Hi Mike! Amazing thing but don't work in Ableton Live 10 (macOS Catalina). Unfortunately, Ableton does not see the VST3 plugin... Do you have any suggestions?

Oh wow! I’d love to figure out a way to adapt this for the Organelle. The pink Lyra is obviously the best color too :)
