Amazing Skills From Bystander Saves Trucker!

This man saved a professional driver a ton of time. The CCTV footage shows a truck driver stopping his vehicle in the middle of the road, trying to line up his GLS truck for a difficult parking maneuver. His first attempts didn’t come close to making it into the space as the front of the truck was too close to the curb on the other side of the road. The driver tried multiple times to align with the side road but couldn't succeed. At one point, the truck even got stuck on the grass. Luckily, a local resident noticed the situation and quickly approached the driver to help. Initially, he offered some advice, but then something unexpected happened. The professional driver stepped out of the vehicle and handed the controls to the onlooker, who managed to park the truck in one go.

I drove semi's for 35 years and more than once I had to do that for another driver. I was happy to help.

No shame in asking or offering help. Well done for helping someone who was struggling.

Geez it’s so refreshing to see all the nice comments from people & no one shaming the driver. Restores my faith in humanity a little. 😊

Some people's kindness is sometimes, priceless !
No matter how skilled you are, sometimes it becomes so hard to park properly after a long and tiring day !

I witnessed this in a hotel parking lot. Good thing i have knowledge and skill to do this for the guy. The rest of us finally got out of the parking lot!

The best thing is that the onlooker let all the waiting cars pass before his parking attempt.

He was obviously a professional truck driver himself. I bet he didn’t log that driving time though! I wonder if that counts as in or out of scope! 😁

I’ve stepped out of my truck a few times and asked for someone to back in for me. It’s way better than making an insurance claim and ruining a clean driver record. No time for go with the cost of these rigs

LOL. I would ask the driver if he wouldn't mind if I helped him as well. I have two million mile accident-free driving awards for commercial driving I'm 73 and still driving commercial fraight. I have encountered every situation at least twice LOL there may be a situation I haven't been in but I haven't found it yet. All-weather cross-country can be a little tricky. Hope the other driver learned a lesson and will be a better driver for it. Good job to both of them.👍from Canada 🇨🇦

Sometimes the harder you try the worse it gets, I find pull forward and start all over again is the best rescue plan 😊

Only another truck driver could do that.

Kudos to the man with skills.
A blind side back is dangerous and difficult at best.
Although with that short wheel base truck things were definitely made easier.
Now had it had a sleeper and a tandem rear end. It would been many times more difficult.
Years back I had a dedicated route in St Louis. Had to do a blind back into the dock from a six-lane intersection. People didn't have patience for your first attempt. Lol
I learned to time the approach the intersection and nail the back on one shot.
That was in a International ProStar with sleeper.

What a story! 😊 New driver behind the wheel and his supervisor who probably jumped out from the cabin earlier on with paperwork... He returns and decides to reverse himself... Happens every day. 😂😂😂

The fellow that parked the semi must also be a professional or very experienced driver - maybe with farm equipment, if not semis. Kudos, to BOTH!
