Beautiful :) I always loved the simplicity of the english longbow. It is indeed very relaxing to shoot and, if mastered, also very accurate!

Hi! I enjoyed the video as always. Gave it a thumbs up, BUT... I found that the music was a bit too loud in comparison to the speaker voice so I sometimes found it hard to hear what he said. Don't think I've ever had this problem with you previous videos even though it's common enough here on YouTube.
Love your channel! I've learned so much. 👍🐻

I see, You are shooting a Bickerstaffe Longbow. I got one a few weeks ago and never before I enjoyed longbow archery that much!

I enjoy your informative videos, as well as the musical accompaniments. On that subject, though, would it be possible for you to tamper the music volume down a bit? Say, about -15%? A bit tough to hear you during the flourishes, mate. haha ... Cheers.

That looked like fun. I laminated a 1/8 hickory strip on a board of black walnut and tried to generally made the longbow shape. The bow came out to around 40 lbs. I wanted about 55 but was limited by the thickness of the walnut board. It shot real nice (and pretty zippy) for maybe 25 to 35 shots then exploded...first bow that I made to explode. The walnut had a swirrely spot where it failed

Could you please make a video about "aiming" with traditional bows, especially with a longbow/flatbow? And maybe a video about arrow making, starting with raw shaft? Including different types of nocks, pros and cons of different fletchings, ...? Ok, I wish a lot of videos, but I hope you will make a lot of videos ;)

Hi Jim, do you have anything to say about breathing technique? I find it best to loose at the top of my breath while I try to suck in my gut

Nice video... I love my longbow more than my other bows even if it is nowhere near as accurate.

Can I offer a handy hint for would-be longbowists? Use arrows with feather flights rather than plastic vanes. They are more accurate off the hand and a lot less painful.

The fletching on my arrows cut my finger when I shoot. It doesn’t cut yours?

Oh, and I was buying a John Strunk yew longbow on time (10 bucks a week), but the bow had to remain at the shop. And some big galut came in and broke it 💔...jerk 🙂 actually he was a friendly guy...problem was he had a 30 or 32" draw and John Strunk wrote 60# @ 28" right on the bow. It was so sweet
