This lesson will give you a full introduction of the 요 form, a standard conjugation form that you’ll need to use in order to make your own sentences. You’ll not only learn when and how to use it, but you’ll also learn all of the rules you need to know for how to conjugate it yourself.

I know the ㅎ doesn't come off 넣다 or 놓다. (Or 좋다, for that matter.) That could be confusing.

Seeing the number of views on a video this far into the course and how they’ve dropped, I feel proud for making it this far.

Re-uploaded to fix a tiny typo on the slide about conjugating 배우다. Nothing significant was changed.

For everyone who's getting stress from this.. DON'T..I started learning korean 2 months ago and when I first watched this video I was so stressed out omg..But then I just moved on with my study and kinda forget about hard conjugation like 쓰다 or 부르다..and if you study enough you'll see this verbs often enough to get used to it..so don't worry...and as billy says just know that this happens and this is how you conjugate verbs.. when you'll get used to it.. it'll make sense i promise....so don't worry and good luck for your studies.. ❤️
(Also sorry for my bad English.. it's not my first language..hope you'll understand)

Being an Indian and knowing Hindi, everything was pretty smooth thus far. Hindi also follows the SOV word order and we have similar sounding letters so everything's been fairly easy to pronounce. This video seemed very daunting but the way Billy explains instills so much confidence in me. We got this guys, don't give up! Like Billy says, practice is KEY :)

Billy, so grateful for these lessons. Thank you!

This has been the most complete and easiest to understand conjugation lesson I’ve had and I have been trying to learn Korean casually for more than 10 years. Thanks!

I made a commitment to teach ESL in Korea a few weeks ago and ever since then I've been juggling daily hangul practice apps, listening to K-pop, and watching Korean food docs. It gets confusing, but Billy is great at covering the major steps in a clear and concise manner. I find myself going back to rewatch these intro videos and appreciating their brevity and clarity a little more each time.

빌리, just want to express my gratitude to you. Not only for this series, but your books as well. It almost feels like I have a tutor or a friend to help me through it. You're the best.

I think this episode is the most difficult one for me, however I’ll trust the process. Fighting!

I'm normally wary of non-Koreans teaching Korean but not you. I trust that you know the language really well and you are definitely capable to teach. You're very understandable. The fact that you're fluent in English and Korean makes it awesome and easy to learn from you. You're also cementing the fact to not use romaja as soon as possible and you're using the Korean character names! I'm in the 20th lesson now. I watched it from the start even if I already know most of this. A review is always good. I'm subscribed!

I found you because of a celebrity who recommended your channel for us who wants to learn hangeul and I'm really happy that I listen to her. I hope someday I will be able to speak hangeul 🖤

That was a super fun lesson thanks Billy, I felt so accomplished at the end. You make this very simple to understand and there are just the right amount of examples and new information per lesson. Every new lesson is also more practice at pronunciation which I am also enjoying 💪

If you're struggling with this one, this is my advice: Go slowly. Pause after every rule explanation, write down the steps and rules in the way you understand them, maybe not exactly as they're written here. And also i just googled "요 form conjugation" and the second result is a pdf from Billy's website that includes some more examples, it helped me a lot to check it while trying to understand each exception. It also has some more inforation. And just don't stress, I guess this is one of those things that you understand naturally as you get more involved with the language. Good luck!
