How to Share Photo Albums (Mac, iPhone & iPad)

Today we're going over how to creatively use Shared Albums in the Apple Photos App. This feature is perfect for capturing family vacations, group trips, reunions, and can act as an amazing way for smaller non-profits to be able to capture events from multiple perspectives.

Shared Albums can be shared by up to 100 people and can contain up to 5000 photos and videos. Important Note: That data does NOT count against your personal iCloud storage!!!

You can set this up from your Mac, iPhone, or iPad.

I usually keep my hair short and it is now growing longer than I have ever experienced.
I am wearing a hat in the picture I include with my ID, but only because I just happen to like that particular photo of me.
And if you do decide to wear a hat, then the next debacle will be what style to wear.
Which will lead to a fashion poll.
From my perspective I wear what I happen to like each day, and I wear different hats for different occasions.
I don’t really care if anyone like what I wear or not.
And like so many, I do appreciate that you talk clearly, and slow, so that I can comprehend what you are saying and actually learn something.
So many other video blogs the narrator talks so fast I have to keep pausing and rewinding to try and figure out what they are explaining.
Perhaps that is due to my age (73), but others who watch your videos and the videos of others seem to confirm what i am experiencing.

Terrific video. One question is how to upload the shared album on my iPhone to the photos on my mac desktop. It's add that this didn't happen automatically.

Question if I have my share button on position what’s does it mean because when I try to turn it off it says it will delete all shared photos from my phone. How can I tell if I have a share album or will I just lose my images on my phone

Hi David, thank you for another awesome video. Questions: 1. Delete shared album, will it delete the photos in the library? 2. When a photo is already in the shared album, I created a smart album with your setting "Album- is not -any", is that photo will show up in the smart album?

Regarding your haircut vs coronavirus, first you look good.. second I just happened to have one of those devices to cut hairs called flowbee (sold in San diego) you attach to a vacuum cleaner.. it works great. Had it for over 25 years

David this hit the spot. Good man with good advice. With COVID 19 in our midst, my wife and I are separated and I am constantly messaging images but I think that setting up shared albums is a much better choice. 
Oh, about the hair, I am a little late to the advice poll but coming from a guy that has done all of these choices, you need to schedule it out so that you can do all three choices but I would probably discourage shaving it off if you are talking about the hair on your head. With that said, I have curly thick hair and as it grows long I end up looking like escapee from the mad house. In High School, my fellow football team members held me down and brought out sheep shears...they backed off though.

You should not be concerned about your hair if you do you may want to try replacing yourself with a cartoon character or maybe an emoji. Im here because of the information I find useful and thats what really matters. Great videos.
