I never could have an overnight because I could never afford a two bedroom plus I doubt I could have ever afforded to consistently pick the kids up or drop them off so maintaining custody seemed as though it just would have cost me more for weekends and I usually didn't have more.

My advice is if you can't arrange anything because you're to financially hindered from the beginning then just walk away from from your kids, I don't even know why I still bother going to look at their pictures on Facebook since after all these years I have no relationship with them and I can't even stand to hear from my oldest daughter since she self centered and I doubt could ever in her life understand the circumstances which is currently (me working while homeless) this is a sick system, so sick that most groups of people have a declining birth rate and we bring in immigrants who are suppose to help with this problem but really only plunder the economy!

I can only imagine what the future will be like in the United States, it is looking real bleak to me and that would be because of problems like this and (welfare) paying people to fail, ruining people who are productive and generally more financially responsible, rich getting out of taxes by things like becoming citizens of other countries ect, this country can't last.
