I noted was that there is a strong emphasis, on shall we say, the more mainstream marginalized groups such as immigrants, refugees, and indigenous students. However, by the token of "Connecting all learners", I see very little speak about students outperforming their peers and how we can support them as well. Consistently, throughout my education, I was held back and sometimes ridiculed by my teachers which led me to play hooky in my years at high school. I could attribute some of it to my disagreeableness, but that does not change the experience for the rest of my peers who were also consistently scoring above 95 on assignments. While I agree we should help those in need for socio-economic reasons, I think there is something to be said about the lack of diversity of opinions in these three speakers.
