How A Teen Makes Money Selling Candy at School

Selling something is a great way to make money. For me, I sell candy at school and this is how I do it.

Around 5th or 6th grade, I began selling school supplies like pencils and erasers to classmates. Later, around 8th grade, a friend and I began selling candy at school. Eventually I began selling candy on my own. Today, I sell a much larger variety of things such as snacks and drinks along with candy. To do this, I don’t really have to do anything. I give people what they want or they take what they want from my locker then they pay me.

Anything I have to do involved with selling candy could be done at school, therefore not taking up important time outside of school. Considering I don’t have to do anything on my own time, the money made is very valuable. Last year, I made between $500 to $1,000 selling things. A friend also sold candy with me and made the same amount. Due to having different classes, I have not made very much this year. So far I have only made nearly $100 this year. Still not bad considering I don’t have to do any of it on my own time.

I, like most other teens, have random odd jobs that I can do to make money. Since I don’t do them very often, they don’t make up much of my income. Although I don’t make very much, some people still think I’m the richest kid at school. Obviously this is not true, but what do I do with my money? I save nearly all of my money plus I stay home and make YouTube videos, therefore I don’t spend very much money.

This is just the way I make money. What you do may be very different, as there are many options to choose from. If possible, you should take advantage of social media because of the ability to make great amounts of money. There are other ways on the internet to be able to make money. One of these ways is with courses. If you have a special skill that other people want to learn, people will pay you to teach them, over the internet. Also with this skill, if you can use it to make or do something, whether a product or service, you can sell those products or services.

But if there is anything you should do as a teen, it is to get a job as soon as you can. You may not want to, but if you want to make money, then that is likely your only option. If you want to try to start a business or do some other venture to try to make money, then do it during any extra time you have. But this is advice I would have given to myself, and I wish I did.

Hey Benson, I did the same thing when I was a kid and was a millionaire by 28. Keep doing it there is more money in buying and selling than any other job.
