Rich Mom Scams Kickstarter?

A 9-year-old's Kickstarter campaign to raise money for programming camp has stirred up controversy. Why? Her mother, who created the campaign, is a multi-millionaire! Annie tells you why angry members of the Internet and gaming community are accusing her of scamming donors and exploiting gender issues.

There are professional teams on kickstarter that have detailed design plans and goals for there projects yet don't reach their kickstarter goals, like a group of men making a BMX simulator, , but money get thrown at an 8 year old girl...
Well it's good those backers got scammed for their stupidity, giving 10k only when $800 dollars were needed
She doesn't even need expensive hardware and won't and the mother is still supporting her so she won't need to pay bills smh...

ROFL WHAT! From the screen shots that was RPG Maker VX ACE, that shit is hell cheap and you barely need to know programing to make a game on it, infact not at all unless you want to add a lot of customs.

Programming camps should be obsolete at this point. I remember a time where there were summer camps and classes to teach people how to build their own. We have the internet now. I'd made about 6k on the side annually for the last six years building gaming rigs for friends and co-workers. My training? About four hours watching youtube videos and reading various forum guide posts on the toilet! Even if this was real, the girl could get the same training for the price of a cheap laptop and enough time spent online.

Best case scenario, this was planned and all proceeds will be reversed once its over to make some point.

It can also be noted that she had actually put up a project on Indiegogo as well at one point(It failed) and the only people who had backed the project was the husband and the children. Considering the sons and daughter's age she essentially just created the accounts for her kids in order to back up the project to most likely and help 'gain momentum' which luckily in never did.

It amazes me that people would even consider throwing money at anything with no guarantee of getting anything out of it. It was just a matter of time till people realized the sheer level of gullibility of such people and start taking them to the cleaners by appealing to their specific interests and biases.
