YouTube Watch Time Hours for Monetization Going Down Decreasing - WHY?

Watch time hours why is the number going down? You are making video and getting views. You are getting watch time hours and the number is dropping on the monetization page. Why?

Why is the watch time hours number on the monetization page confusing? The monetization page is the page with the two meters at the bottom. One is for subscribers and the other is for watch time.

The one thousand subscriber requirement is pretty straight forward. You start with zero subscribers and you gain and grow subscribers until you get to one thousand. But what about the 4000 hours of watch time? What does YouTube mean with this requirement? How can your watch time hours be 1000 one day and then be 975 two weeks later? How can a channel lose 25 hours of watch time?

What is YouTube looking at when they determine and calculate how much monetization watch time a channel has?

Thank you for explaining this! My watch hours for 365 days was 3.2k but monetization keeps dropping hours everyday. Anyone else feel like the birds in the background are also not happy with the 4000watch hours needed to monetize lol

Hello. Yeah when the youtube did that...I had the subs and I was 25 hours away. Then it went deep down to 1000 hours away. Been crawling back ever since now less that 500 hours away. I totally understand how the counting works. I do like how you explained this issue. It sure has been a huge mountain to climb over. Thanks :)
